Join Fresenius Kabi as a Pharmacy Implementation Specialist and be responsible for the successful implementation of the pharmacy portion of our products at customer locations. This individual provides pharmacy expertise to the organization, acting as both a customer and product advocate to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for the implementation of our Infusion Pumps.
This is a remote position which requires travel approximately 40% of the time to work onsite for customer implementations. The preferred location for the ideal candidate is in the West region of the US near a major airport. Key cities include: Phoenix AZ, Las Vegas NV, Reno, NV, Denver CO, Salt Lake City UT, San Diego CA, Los Angeles CA, San Francisco CA, Sacramento CA, Portland OR, and Seattle WA.

Responsibilities
- Ensures the proper implementation of the drug library with our customers including the configuration, build and review
- Leads user training, documentation, and participates in educational outreach
- Leads pharmacy efforts for product integration with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) partners
- Supports go live and post implementation support including product optimization, continuous quality improvement and reporting
- Coordinates closely with the Implementation Project Manager to ensure that pharmacy activities remain on schedule throughout the project
- Cultivates relationships with leaders in the clinical pharmacy community nurtures key opinion leaders
- Remains knowledgeable of progressive hospital practices and shares pharmacy operations insights
- Maintains awareness of current trends in pharmacy practice and drug therapy
- Assists and delivers product presentations, as necessary, and provides sales support to include participating in RFI/RFPs and demonstrations
- Provides support with whitepapers and articles in industry publications as requested
- Participates in new product development and advises on safe medication practices as requested
- Participates in customer support team activities as needed
- Multitasks and coordinates efforts between multiple simultaneous implementations
- Gathers information on the installed systems for continuous product improvement efforts
- Travel: up to 75%
- Attend local, regional, and national meetings as needed
- Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a pharmacist (PharmD, BS Pharm), preferably in an acute care setting within the last 2 years.
- Current licensure as a RPh and maintained throughout employment
- Minimum 5 years clinical pharmacy experience in medium to large institutions
- FDA compliance experience is a plus.
- Deep experience with medical device implementations in clinical settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Abundant experience working with healthcare customers
- Experience providing professional services in clinical environments
- EMR/EHR integration (Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Experience with ERPs (SAP preferred) and other database concepts highly preferred
- Experience with regulatory compliance for medical devices
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Travel (Air/Auto) required and is based on the needs of the business
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs
- Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
