At Implementation Engineers, we solve complex challenges for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist with extensive experience in cobotics. In this role you will be a leader of automation execution projects. You will conduct analysis of client's operational processes, identify gaps, propose solutions, and manage implementation of those initiatives. The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills and executive presence.
In addition to managing automation implementations, you will work collaboratively with client management to guide decisions with both internal consulting teams and our clientele. Ideal candidates will have a passion for digital transformation and will provide strong contributions to our growing Industry 4.0 practice.
The successful candidate will support project teams to:
- Provide expert analysis to identify and document the business case for cobot deployment opportunities in client operations.
- Develop and deliver end-to-end cobotics solutions to automate client operations including cell design, programming, HMI, etc.
- Coach client on automation best practices and building sustainable automation solutions.
- Contribute to the analysis of client businesses to drive results, innovation, growth, and change using Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations and contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
- Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust.
- Demonstrate high performance as a team leader, leading teams to generate a vision, establishing direction, motivating members, creating an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics/Automation, or other related field.
- Proven experience deploying cobots in industry - both leading deployment projects and hands-on execution. Fanuc and Universal preferred.
- Additional automation experience is a plus (robotics, automated material handling, PLC controls, end of arm tooling, vision systems, etc.)
- Experience deploying Industry 4.0 technologies in the manufacturing space is a plus (IoT, data & analytics, system integration, augmented reality, etc.)
- Willingness to travel up to 50-75% during weekdays if needed
