Compensation:
Salary Range: $28.24 - $42.56 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.
Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
Responsible for billing, collections and account follow-up on claims, denials, correspondence, documentation, and account inquiries. Responsible for Pharmacy collections and reconciling Pharmacy payments in Cardinal Central Pay and database to deposits in the bank.

This position will be dedicated to our Outpatient Pharmacy department. Hybrid remote work available after training period.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree
  • One (1) Year Medical Collection experience
  • Two (2) years of Pharmacy Billing and collection experience
  • Knowledge and experience with hospital based 340(b) programs
  • Two (2) years of experience with MS Excel and MS Access
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with CPT, HCPCS and NDC codes, retail and specialty pharmacy
  • Maintains complete knowledge of Managed Care, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and PPO payors to ensure compliance of specific guidelines and rules as well as ensuring CMH is being reimbursed by the
    payor in accordance with governmental or contract terms
  • Computer literate to prepare reports and navigate effectively and efficiently in databases
  • Knowledge of MS Excel functions VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX, MATCH, and Pivot tables
  • Experience with data reconciliation and analysis
