Form of workWe are seeking an experienced Construction Project Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of both prime and subcontractor billing methods. An individual with billing experience in other commercial subcontractor trades, such as electrical or plumbing, will also be considered a valuable addition to our team. This role is integral to our organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes for our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process project invoices in compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather necessary billing information.
- Verify billing accuracy, including labor, materials, and subcontractor charges.
- Monitor project budgets and communicate any discrepancies to project teams.
- Manage billing for both general contractors and direct owners as the prime contractor.
- Maintain organized billing records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Stay current with industry billing practices and regulations.
- Work closely with accounting and finance teams to reconcile billing discrepancies.
- Participate in project meetings to provide billing updates and address inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial (not residential)mechanical contracting billing experience.
- Proficiency in prime and subcontractor billing methods.
- Familiarity with mechanical contracting billing processes is a significant advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools.
- Understanding of project budgets and cost tracking.
- Must be able to work on-site in Santa Fe Springs.
