Tempest Telecom Solutions is a leading provider of network infrastructure equipment and services serving major telecommunications carriers as well as other major network operators in the government and energy, and other sectors throughout North America. We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Billing Specialist to correspond with customers, internal sales teams and Finance management regarding sales order accuracy, invoicing issues, and credit memo requirements. The Billing Specialist will also be tasked with ensuring sales order accuracy prior to the issuance of corresponding invoices, entering invoices into customer portals for acceptance by the customer. They must be able to multitask, correspond with internal and external parties in a tactful, professional manner, and assist the accounting department with the preparation of financial reports.
To be successful as the Billing Specialist, you should have a basic understanding of accounting practices and good organizational skills. An outstanding candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a knack for working with numbers.
Responsibilities:
· Review sales orders scheduled to ship to ensure they are accurate and consistent with customer purchase orders
· Submit invoices for payment based on individual client needs (primarily customer portals)
· Initiate and process credit memos as required
· Assist in the preparation of account statements for customers
· Prepare monthly billing reports
· Assist AR Collections Specialists with issues related to outstanding account balances; and resolve inconsistencies
· Update Customer Master records and help ensure customer contact information accuracy
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· High school diploma/GED
· 3 years’ experience in Customer Billing
· Knowledge of accounting software such as Netsuite or other EAP systems helpful
· Knowledge of payment portals such as Ariba, Taulia, Isupplier & Authorize.net helpful
· Strong communicate, organization and time-management skills
· Ability to work efficiently in a time sensitive environment
· Proficient with Microsoft Office/Excel and related software
· Attention to detail
· Must be fully COVID vaccinated
· Hybrid with 2-3 days in office preferred

Pay: $25.00 per hour
