Based in Boynton Beach, we have an immediate opening for you to become the next Personal Injury Attorney at our firm. You must have at least 1-3 years of experience as an attorney handling Personal Injury cases. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated looking for growth opportunities and have an impeccable standing with the Florida Bar.
In this role, you will focus on providing aggressive, effective, ethical representation to each individual client. You will be handling a large caseload; therefore, the ideal candidate must have strong communication and negotiation skills as well as being solution oriented. You must also be able to stay focused and organized as well as meet deadlines. We are willing to train you to become the best attorney you can be.
Duties and responsibilities: The Personal Injury Attorney will have the responsibility of independently managing a large caseload of which 95%-98% will be motor vehicle accident cases. The caseload will predominantly consist of pre-suit cases with some litigation duties. Responsibilities therefore include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing legal support and guidance to clients
- Finding ethical solutions to legal matters
- Negotiating settlements with insurance carriers
- Covering PIP recorded statements and PIP Examinations Under Oath
- Otherwise handling case management from inception to completion
- Staying informed about any current legislation and case law
- Building trustworthy relationships with clients
- Drafting pleadings, written discovery and motions
- Arguing motions and covering depositions
- Marketing firm services in the community and as otherwise required
- Florida licensed attorney in good standing with Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an attorney handling Personal Injury cases
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in evaluating Personal Injury claims in Florida
- Must have knowledge of federal and state statues, court rules, forms, processes, and procedures that apply to Personal Injury practice in Florida including Fla. Stat. 627.736, 627.727, 768.76
