About This Position
CRJ wants you to join our growing team of compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support the wonderful individuals we serve!
This is a full-time, 40-hours/week, non-exempt position that will be working in our Templeton, MA location. This position has a starting rate of $20.00 hourly rate.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Help our clients to live a full and meaningful life.
- Able to provide hands on ADL care in the shower, toileting, dressing, skin care, etc. as needed.
- Continuously ensure all medical equipment is in proper working order, and report when it is not.
- Drive the handicap van, and transport clients to work, appointment, and activities.
- Monitor on going medical issues regarding catheter care, and skin integrity.
- Taking vital signs.
- Administering (primarily) medications to the clients.
- Assist in planning, food shopping, prep and cooking clients food.
- Preparing paperwork for and attending appointments.
- Potentially, assisting in a therapeutic handicap assessable pool (would need to be in the pool with the clients).
- Would need to think outside the box to encourage client compliance.
- Work directly under an RN, learning, and reporting.
Job Qualifications:
- PCA or CNA Certification (Massachusetts)
- MAP Certified (Will provide training)
- PAC Certified (Will provide training)
- Valid Driver's License w/ reliable transportation (car)
- COVID guidelines - PPE, etc.

Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes. Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs. Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
