Position:Personal Assistant - Remote work
Company: Sunny Blue, a fast-casual omusubi restaurant with locations in Santa Monica and Culver City
Owner: Keiko Nakashima
Rate: $25/hr start rate with potential for a raise over time
Hours: Average 1-2 hrs/week. There are occassional weeks where you would work 4-5 hrs. but it's usually around 1-2hrs/week.
Flexibility: There are no set hours, you can make it work with your schedule for the most part, although there are of course time sensitive tasks to be completed. You can discuss this aspect of the job further during the in-person interview.
Responsibilities: Mainly hiring cashiers and omusubi makers for the restaurants. There is a lot of employee turnover in restaurants, so the hiring process is largely ongoing. You would post jobs on Indeed, communicate with applicants, check their qualifications, schedule their interviews with the owner, and if they are hired, send them the paperwork and get them onboarded to start work. Other responsibilities include ordering stickers for the to-go boxes about every 2 months, and very rarely other tasks, such as sending emails to vendors for catering events.
The ideal employee is someone who has these qualifications:
1. responsible
2. organized
3. familiar with google drive/sheets/docs. you will be doing a lot of tracking of information and keeping documents updated and organized on the google drive. also keeping track of the interview calendar, sending interview reminders to applicants as well as communicating with keiko to remind her of upcoming interviews.
4. looking for an ongoing position, not something short-term i.e. just a few months.
5. authorized to work in the US.
6. high school graduate or above
