What will I be doing?
As a Permits Coordinator, you will:
- Prepare, submit and monitor permit package to jurisdictions
- Track permits, retrieve approved permits and submit supplemental information as needed
- Prepare check requests (permit fees, utility fees, city/county fees)
- Request title documents (owners deed, sales history)
- Coordinate with multiple departments to create site plans when needed
- Coordinate with the sales team on type of equipment that will be installed
- Work with all departments on the scheduling of inspections and finalization of permits
- Handle all customer questions regarding the process and scheduling of inspections
- Have industry knowledge of code requirements and jurisdiction requirements in order to answer any questions that may arise from technicians or office staff
- Maintain a good relationship with inspectors and work closely with jurisdictions on a daily basis
- Follow up with customers who have open permits on a bi weekly basis in order to close them out quickly and efficiently
- Be available by phone should a tech have any questions regarding code enforcement or permitting process
- Respond to all emails and other forms of communication in a quick and efficient manner
- Work with Subcontractors for HERS testing regarding paperwork, permit packages and scheduling
- Perform other duties as assigned
Am I qualified?
- 2 years in a customer service, coordinator, and/or administrative role
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Permits, and building codes knowledge a plus
