Summary of Role:

The NH Permit Coordinator serves as the subject matter expert of permit processes at the local and regional level. Being a field-based resource for applying, picking up, and delivering permits to job sites. Working directly with city and county building departments to ensure timely permit collection. And by developing and following standard operating procedures and communicating in real time with their supervisor. The coordinator will create transparency of lot and community level permit statuses.

Individuals applying for this position must be well organized, a team player, and dedicated to delivering results. With extensive experience working directly with building departments and being a liaison to internal departments.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Experienced in using and creating reports/dashboards in Salesforce to effectively manage their production pipeline
  • Deliver on team goals and meet service level agreements
  • Provide peer support through training and frequent guidance. Reviewing team dashboards and helping team mates as needed
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve as needed
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedure documentations for team use, ensuring SOPs are up to date with current AHJ requirements
  • Attend and on occasion lead team meetings and one on one call’s with supervisor
  • Develop and maintain a good rapport with building departments and home builder customers
  • In depth understanding of solar design plan sets: roof layouts, equipment specifications, single line diagrams
  • Ability to propose, establish and update processes with various AHJ departments
  • In depth understanding of AHJ corrections, ability to provide insight and decide if design edits are needed
  • Strong understanding of state and local code requirements for photovoltaics
  • Follow company safety guidelines and vehicle maintenance protocols
  • Be responsive and professional over email and calls
  • Work closely with SunPower operations staff, design team, account managers and others internally as needed. Be involved in cross-team initiatives, projects, process updates, etc.
  • Guide internal and external teams to the specific building department process
  • Manage P-card and check book transactions to company standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience managing permit process of any construction trade, preferably solar
  • Experience working in CRM platform like Salesforce
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and driving screen
  • Ability to travel between job sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree is preferred but can be substituted with 2 year’s work experience.
Please note the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and in the geographical location noted. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,128/year to $84,830/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
