People Operations Manager

FLEX College Prep is a privately owned educational services organization, offering college admissions consulting, test prep and tutoring to middle and high school students. We're looking for a People Operations Manager to join our growing Company. This is an integral role, from day-to-day HR operations to strategic planning, the People Operations Manager supports employees and leaders to achieve our vision. What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (HR), business, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in human resources.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Current PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
• Strong generalist experience covering all functional areas of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employment law, employee relations, employee engagement, employee development, compensation and benefits.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Experience working with various HR software (HRIS, Performance Management tools, ATS, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact.

What you'll do:

• Strategy, Planning and Management Reporting
• Partner closely with department heads and management to assess existing programs, processes, and practices, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and drive innovative solutions to enhance the employee experience and support departments to achieve their goals
• Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
• Work with Department Heads to identify and open requisitions
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, training, and placement/staffing
• Training and Development
• Oversee recurring training for employees, managers, and departments, as-needed
• Facilitate management training and professional development events
• Performance Management
• Manage the performance review system
• Train staff and managers on the effective evaluation process
• Implement and monitor PIP processes and use, and advise managers on application
• Employee Relations
• Provide support to all employees for any HR-related matters; manage and actively work to improve employee experience and morale
• Oversee HR compliance, records maintenance, and HRIS
• Identify risk and propose mitigation strategies

Where you'll do it:

• Local U.S. residents near Irvine, CA or Cupertino, CA highly preferred.
• Local U.S. residents near Irvine must travel once per month to the FLEX Northern California center locations or to FLEX's Irvine's corporate office if located near the Cupertino area.
• Travel is required once a month to the Northern FLEX region and once a month to the Irvine location, if located outside of a drivable distance to the Irvine or Cupertino areas.

$70,000 - $80,000 a year
Salary is commensurate with experience.
