The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for a training and development professional to join our People Operations team as a People Development Manager based in either our Portland, OR, or Renton, WA office.
How you will have an impact at TPG
The primary role of the People Development Manager is to oversee and manage the training and development programs for the organization. This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of all TPG employees, ultimately contributing to the organization’s overall success.
What a typical day in this role looks like:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive training strategy aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Identify training needs through assessments, collaborating with departments to address specific skill gaps.
- Design and create diverse training programs and materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
- Oversee the effective and efficient delivery of training programs, coordinating with internal trainers, external vendors, and subject matter experts.
- Monitor training schedules, budgets, and resources, implementing a robust system for assessing program effectiveness and making improvements based on feedback and data.
Key details
Location: Portland, Oregon or Renton, Washington; in-office with hybrid remote opportunities
Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
Salary Range: $81,000-95,000 annually (DOE)
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.
Travel: Minimal overnight travel as business needs may require (such as visiting other TPG office locations)
Requirements:What you’ll bring to the table
- At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in HR management, business administration, organizational development, education, or related field.
- ATD Certification or comparable work experience required.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in training and development in a corporate setting,
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills; critical thinking and research skills
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- A high level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail
