Pca Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. This is a weekend position saturday and sunday from 8:30am to 7:30pm - 22 hours weekly

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences

- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up living spaces and doing laundry

- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the appropriate healthcare professionals

- Foster a supportive and caring environment for clients, promoting their emotional well-being

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required

- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and practices

- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals

- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
