Summer School Personal Care Assistants

End-of-School-Year (ESY) Program

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Personal Care Assistants serve under the supervision of the ESY Program Administrator. Major duties include, but are not limited to: supervision of students, lifting, and assistance with daily living skills, such as feeding, toileting, and general support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work closely and cooperatively with students, teachers, administrators, colleagues, and parents/visitors
• Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or willing to become certified within in sixty (60) of being hired

SALARY: Consistent with the 2021-2022 salary schedule for Personal Care Assistants

NOTE: No personal benefits or leave programs (i.e., personal leave, sick leave, VRS) are available to Summer School teachers.

Employment will be contingent on ESY Program student enrollment.
