Under minimal supervision, processes all aspects of the payroll in a multi-state, union and non-union, international enterprise, and multi pay frequency environment. Processes the organization's payroll for multiple entities with 7,000+ employees.

What You Will Do:

  • Processes and audits complex payroll transactions including executive compensation, relocation taxation, and taxation of employees who work in multiple states
  • Calculates and sets up repayment schedules for overpaid employees
  • Validates taxable amounts for international employees and responds to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers
  • Maintains control documents to ensure accurate payroll processing and ensures compliance with relevant laws and policies
  • Prepares journal entries and reconciles GL payroll accounts on a monthly basis
  • Balances and validates payroll information for quarter-end and year-end filings
  • Provides excellent customer service and drives efficiencies with business partners
  • Learns advanced calculations and configuration setup for payroll processing
  • Exhibits intrapreneurship and ownership behaviors.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience working with computerized payroll systems supporting mid sized corporate payroll to include 1 year of payroll processing in a multi-state environment and 2 years of experience working with state and federal payroll regulations reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of experience working with computerized payroll systems supporting mid sized corporate payroll to include 2 years of payroll processing in a multi-state environment and 5 years of experience working with state and federal payroll regulations reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidates are required to complete a credit check for this position; the results do not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment but will be individually evaluated to determine if the results disqualify the candidate for employment in such a position.
  •  Skilled in the use of Intermediate MS Word and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, if-then statements, V Lookups, etc.).
  • Required to work overtime when necessary.Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • CPP/FPC preferred.
  • 7 years of experience working with state and federal payroll regulations supporting large corporate payroll reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in 10-key by touch.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Excel at an advanced level.
  • Experience with ADP Vantage.
  • In depth knowledge of payroll tax reporting and requirements, and state and federal payroll regulations.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $28.51 -$38.51
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
