WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
The person in this position performs a variety of functions related to payroll administration.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Compile information of straight and overtime pay and compute variance to normal pay.
- Ensure accounting distribution and preparation of deductions.
- Assist with governmental reporting/compliance.
- Discuss payroll matters with employees.
- Coordinate and process any irregular payments (e.g., sales commissions, bonus payments, etc.).
- Process end to end payroll accurately, timely, and in accordance to Federal, State, and Local laws for salaried and hourly employees
- Review and audit all data entries/changes on the employee's records for accuracy including, but not limited to, new hires, terminations, pay changes, direct deposit, and tax elections
- Process, review, and balance payroll batch information which includes time clock entries, bonus entries, and other compensation variable pay entries
- Administer all employee wage attachments (e.g., child supports, garnishments, tax levies) timely and accurately according to various state guidelines
- Perform various payroll audits to ensure payroll is balanced and accurate
- Post payroll to accounting for each cycle
- Submit wage attachment payments once audited and balanced
- Create and distribute payroll reports as needed
- Research and resolve all payroll requests or inquires
- Communicate with various personnel through written and verbal methods to facilitate strong working relationships
- Plan and organize workload around multiple assignments to manage deadlines and deliver achievement of assigned goals and objectives
- Serve as backup for other Payroll Support personnel
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Requires at least 5 years related experience.
- Thorough understanding of standard concepts, practices and procedures within this field.
- Broad knowledge of payroll taxes.
- Strong Excel skills
- SAP experience preferred
- FPC or CPP certification preferred

The compensation range for this position is approximately $47,000 - $65,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
