Summary of Position:
The Payroll Specialist will partner with the company's outside service provider and coordinate payroll processing company wide. Additionally, this role will support associates with payroll inquiries, issues, and concerns.
General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:
- We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from $28.84 to $31.25 per hour, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
- This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company's sole discretion.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider.
- Respond to and resolve inquiries regarding paychecks and payroll reporting; ensure payroll issues and concerns are escalated and resolved promptly.
- Accurately administrate the payroll system, including documentation, distribution, and reconciliation.
- Review the computation of pay and deductions for accuracy.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of city, state, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understand and follow applicable requirements.
- Prepare required tax filings and other payroll and payroll tax related reporting.
- Work on special projects as assigned and cross train as necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of related Human Resources experience, with exposure to payroll administration.
- Experience with different HR information systems, Ceridian or ADP preferred.
- General knowledge of federal and state labor laws including EEO, ADA, FMLA, LOA, etc.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality (compensation, performance reviews, counseling notices, promotions, etc.)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Interact well with coworkers, executives, vendors, and other business partners.
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Payroll Specialist to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
