We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist, with preferred knowledge of ADP Workforce Now. Multi-state experience is
preferred.
Salary: $55,000 per year or commensurate to experience
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preferred experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salary, non-exempt and exempt employees in accordance with government regulations
- Process wage garnishments, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner (including reporting to the necessary State office or jurisdiction)
- Manage benefits to coordinate leaves of absence under Family Medical & Leave Act (FMLA), Medical, or other unpaid leaves
- Processes Manual Payments/ACH transactions, handle unemployment claims and verifications forms, and conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records • Accurately track and reconcile Paid Time Off
- Manage health benefits for employees.
- Communicate with employees to respond to inquiries and resolve payroll issues. • Enter/audit employee payroll changes (i.e., tax withholding, direct deposit, benefits). • Assist in payroll reports preparation for audits, year-end processes, and upon managers’ requests.
- Work closely with HR department regarding employee and/or policy changes affecting payroll.
Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-state payroll preferred.
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, ADP Smart Compliance.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, primarily Excel).
- Familiarity with payroll taxes, benefits, wage & hour laws.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail while maintaining multiple duties and projects.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- High level of critical thinking skills.

Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday – Friday

- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- Payroll: 2 years (Preferred)
- Multi-state payroll: 2 years (Preferred)
- ADP Workforce Now: 2 years (Preferred)
