JCMG is looking for a Payroll Specialist
This is a full-time position with full benefits, including insurance, 148 PTO hours per year, 56 hours of paid Holidays per year including the day after Thanksgiving, and an Employee Retirement Plan (401K) with employer match. Tuition reimbursement and a grow our own Medical Assistant Program.
Normal working hours are Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00. However, hours could vary based on the needs of the department.
Salary is based on experience.
Position Summary
This position is accountable and responsible for processing and timely delivery of assigned payrolls. Ensures proper tax treatment, accounting, and of withholdings such as taxes, deductions for benefits, retirement contributions, etc. Maintain a high level of security and confidentially of sensitive information.
Job Specific
Research all information needed in order to complete payroll processing.
Compiling payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
Generate electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
Contacting various managers for any missing information.
Processing monthly and biweekly payroll, from the payroll system
Works closely with Human Resources in handling compensation and benefit questions and resolving errors.
Maintains bi-weekly reporting of 401 (k) deferrals, deposits along with balancing quarterly report. Also reports annual census data to 401(k) administrator along with handling yearly outside accounting audit responsibilities.
Monitor State, Department of Labor and Federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Complete special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or GED
College degree (Accounting, Business) or 7 years job experience or equivalent

3 - 5 years of payroll experience preferred
