Research all information needed in order to complete payroll processing.
Compiling payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
Generate electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
Contacting various managers for any missing information.
Processing monthly and biweekly payroll, from the payroll system
Works closely with Human Resources in handling compensation and benefit questions and resolving errors.
Maintains bi-weekly reporting of 401 (k) deferrals, deposits along with balancing quarterly report. Also reports annual census data to 401(k) administrator along with handling yearly outside accounting audit responsibilities.
Monitor State, Department of Labor and Federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
College degree (Accounting, Business) or 7 years job experience or equivalent
Experience:
3 - 5 years of payroll experience preferred
