Hennig, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Machine Tool Protection, has an immediate opening for a Payroll Specialist. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage and execute our payroll processes. A strong background in payroll administration is a must.
Key Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
· Process and manage bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time. This includes reviewing timecards and other payroll information, processing corrections, setting up and maintaining proper earnings, deduction, and withholding files, and entering data into the payroll system.
· Interact with supervisors as required to verify information and resolve discrepancies.
· Process wage garnishments, child support orders, etc.
· Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
· Respond to inquiries from employees regarding their payroll checks, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and other concerns.
· Collaborate with HR to maintain employee records.
· Maintain records of Payroll deductions, Vacation Time, PTO, along with other spreadsheets and documents related to payroll.
· Track PTO, Vacation, Bereavement, Jury Duty, etc.
· Perform verifications of employment.
· Assist HR with other various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
· Proven payroll processing experience.
· Must be organized and pay great attention to detail.
· Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
· Prior experience with Paylocity and Global Shop is a plus.
· Understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
