Summary:
Performs all payroll for SACA and SACA Development Corporation. Handles and works with HR on Benefits. Handles all workers compensation.
Key Results Areas:
- Completes all payroll and payroll related clerical functions with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Meets all Internal and external deadlines.
- Deals with all employees, outside agencies and clients professionally and in a timely manner.
- Efficiently handles and or defers human resources issues to HR accordingly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review authorize time on a by-weekly basis. Prepare for entry into Paychex system.
- Review all time in Paycheck for accuracy and process through Paychex for biweekly payroll.
- Review all staff adjustments for accuracy and signatures/along with any other employee changes and enter Paychex system.
- Prepare and upload internal payroll distribution reports for all companies.
- Monitor and reconcile employee PTO monthly.
- Reconcile any employee payroll or human resources issues.
- Maintain all employee files in accordance with government regulations.
- Prepare copies as needed and keep filling up to date.
- Cross check all quarterly Paychex Payroll and tax filings.
- Work with HR on benefits yearly and as needed.
- Handle all worker’s compensation filing.
- Prepare all retirements yearly reporting.
- Distribute all year end paperwork.
- Maintain FMLA files.
- Maintain all employee files up to date in Paychex for all changes to include rates and evaluations.
- New Hires- complete all paperwork and sign-in the systems as applicable.
- Work with CFO and FA for wage and PTO reports as requested.
- Work with management on all necessary workpapers needed for payroll.
Education, Training or Certification:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Two (2) year related experience and/ or training.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables and the need to deal with exceptions and changes in a variety of situations.
Certificates, licenses, registrations: None required.
Other skills and abilities, including computers, tools, equipment, technical knowledge:
Computer Literacy; excel knowledge a must. Word and Internet explorer. Ability to deal professionally with employees and management.
