Job Description
Columbine Health Systems (CHS) is the largest long-term health care system in Northern Colorado and seeks an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team to process and manage semi-monthly payroll process for multiple companies within our organization. This critical role must embody strong teamwork, expertise in payroll procedures, regulations, and establish strong relationships for operational efficiency in alignment with Columbine Health Systems' strategy and objectives. The Payroll Administrator should have a strong background in HRIS software (UKG, ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar payroll processing software) and a proven track record managing payroll processes for multi-site companies.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting wages $25.00 - $33.00/hr. Based on experience.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Monday through Friday 8:00 - 5:00pm
- Traditional office environment, on site
Position duties:
- Manages current HRIS system for accurate and timely client payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit.
- Responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing of payroll data for multiple companies varying in size 20-200 individually using Workforce One payroll system on the UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) platform.
- Responsible for processing of manual checks as necessary.
- Responds to escalated payroll-related inquiries including but not limited to payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, and employment verifications; resolves employee issues.
- Reviews and assures accuracy of payroll, deductions, and payroll tax information.
- Oversees preparation of month-end, year-end, and government reports.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with payroll processing software required
- 401(k) plan experience
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in accounting and financial reporting; specifically: payroll processing, calculations, and compliance
- HRIS conversion and system configuration experience highly preferred
- Extremely efficient; Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process, procedures, and systems
- Proficient with MS Office/Excel, and Outlook skills
- Excellent customer service and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with various levels including upper leadership
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 2-3 years
