The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a highly motivated, mission-driven leader to serve as Payroll Administrator who will be directly responsible for processing payroll for the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the organization's payroll processing (full time and part time) on a bi-weekly basis by maintaining employee information in the HRIS, updating employee records as requested, and managing benefit enrollments to ensure accurate deductions in pay checks.
- Maintains timecard/timesheet records; assists with preparation of federal and state tax forms and W-2's.
- Responsible for storage and retrieval of payroll documents.
- Maintain various Excel spreadsheets related to deductions, benefits, and other payroll data.
- Process W-2's, 1095's, and other annual filings.
- Work closely with managers utilizing Time and Attendance to ensure proper training in order for the manager to facilitate smooth and timely timecard approvals.
- Review the payroll register with Human Resources or Finance to ensure accuracy in the deliverables, insurances, and taxes.
- Prepare reports as needed for Human Resources, Finance and Department Heads, as needed.
- Respond to employee or manager inquiries regarding pay, deductions, benefit enrollments, retirement, tax filings or other payroll related questions.
- Enter newly eligible employees into the benefits portal, create confidential file and file in appropriate area.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a two-year degree in accounting, finance, or related business field preferred with 2-3 years' experience in a payroll or accounting role, or equivalent for a large organization.
- Proficient with payroll and customer database systems.
- Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills are required.
- Strong customer service, organization, creative problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment.
- Dedication to excellence and analytic critical thinking.
- Highly organized; ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Salary: up to 60,000 based on experience and qualifications
