Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring aPayroll Administrator for a life sciences instrumentation company. Our San Diego, CA, client provides a platform to analyze the long segments of genomic DNA and other biomolecules structural variations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for payroll duties ensuring accuracy of non-exempt and exempt hours reported, time off records, benefits deductions, commissions, and allowances, specifically:
- Submit payroll timely and accurately with ability to meet strict payroll deadline
- Set up of new State requirements as needed
- Accurately process employee information including hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes and other information.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Resolve any payroll issues in a timely manner.
- Serves as liaison with third party payroll vendors and assists with implementations or upgrades as needed
- Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements and stays current with changes in the law.
- Assists with audits, compliance reporting and related documentation.
- Maintains accurate records of payroll processes and procedures.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and identifies corrective action required.Will assist with any outside government agency or vendor audits. Monitors benefit plans as needed to insure accurate deductions from employee pay.
- Provide overall support and back-up of administrative tasks for HR department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience processing payroll for a growing organization
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality,and possessinterpersonalskills to handle sensitiveand confidential situations
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in payroll
- Payroll experience with ADP Workforce Now product preferred
- International payroll experience preferred
