Payroll Accountant

Overview
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join the corporate team in our Raleigh, NC headquarters. The candidate will be involved in a variety of Payroll functions and will work with employees at all levels across the firm.
This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
* General ledger responsibilities - review general ledger exports prior to posting, reconcile payroll related accounts
* Assist in processing semi-monthly payroll and post-payroll tasks
* Assist in processing semi-monthly timesheets and timesheet compliance
* Manage tracking of various payroll deductions and reimbursements
* Verifications of Employment
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
* 2 or more years of relevant experience
* Experience with the following is preferred: databases and reporting; payroll software; and multi-state tax (UKG Pro preferred)
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills with Excel
* Strong interpersonal skills and client service mentality
* Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
* High degree of professionalism with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
* Excellent organization, detail-orientation, and follow-through skills
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
* Ability and willingness to learn new software applications
