We currently have a position open for a Staff Accountant in our corporate office in Whitsett, NC located between Burlington and Greensboro. In this role the right candidate will provide support to the accounting department by working closely with all areas of medi. The Staff Accountant will need to work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, manage a variety of projects, be proactive and always maintain a positive attitude. This position reports directly to the Financial Reporting Manager. The candidate for this position will perform the duties listed below: Summary: Provide management with financial information, actively participate in the monthly closing process, and support all functions of the accounting department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the General Ledger (GL) and from other reporting sourcesAssist in completion of month-end accounting activities, which include but are not limited to:Balance sheet reconciliations to ensure account accuracyCreating and posting various GL journal entriesCross training in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing and Credit functions to further the candidate's knowledge of company procedures and provide for redundanciesResearch, interpret and analyze information, and communicate answers and insight through spreadsheet reporting and other applicable methodsParticipate and assist with special projects that support the goal of continuous improvement in processes and growth within the companyMaintain and update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities Required SkillsDeadline oriented Task prioritization Attention to detailInterpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication Skilled with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools Education and Experience4-year accounting degree is required 1-3 years of general accounting experience that includes financial reportingE-Commerce business experience a plus CPA Certification not required but a plus Our company offers a competitive compensation package & comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, paid time off & holidays, tuition reimbursement & more!
