SUMMARY:
The Team Lead of Payment Posting is responsible for posting and reconciliation of payments for all designated payers/locations to meet and maintain goals. EOM reconciliation is important to this role.
REPORTS TO:Payment Posting Manager
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
LEADERSHIP COMMUNICATION
- Weekly Summary to VP by office on KPI’s such as dates/amounts backlog.
- As needed conversations related to improving workflows or enhancements to the RCM team.
- Collaboration is vital in this role.
MENTORING/COACHING
- Development of team (coaching & mentoring) to reach company goals.
- Become an RCM expert on every platform we have as an organization.
- Help set productivity goals.
- Each employee should have a “learning more” tool monthly.
- Monthly meeting with leadership to identify both excellent team members and those that need improvement.
REPORTING ANALYTICS
- Work with RCM Data Analytics team when reports are needed daily, weekly, monthly to better identify trends necessary for the success of the organization.
SOP’S
- Development of Senta University training processes including:
o Posting by billing system – guides to ensure staff works faster, better, smarter.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
- Encourage & reward top performing team members
- Working leader within your department
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
- Work with Director RCM to enhance rules engines within RCM systems to prevent denials.
VENDOR MANAGEMENT
- Knowledge of Vendors such as Echo, Instamed, Zelis etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent problem-solving skills with limited training a must
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Payment Posting preferred
- Experience in any of the following EMR’s such as Epic, ECW, ModMed, IMS and Nextgen EMR preferred
- Understanding of Explanation of Benefits, Reason Codes, payments, adjustments, and denials is required
- Experience with signing up for EFTs and ERAs helpful
- Previous experience with billing and collections helpful
