iCare is fully committed to quality patient care and provides an exciting work environment! We are currently hiring customer-focused, professional Patient Scheduling Coordinators.
This position is extremely diversified and wears many hats. You must be extremely customer service oriented, comfortable working in a fast paced and multifaceted call center atmosphere. Knowledge of area healthcare facilities, Medicare and Medicaid basics, and be comfortable being the voice of the customer. Must have a superior attention to detail.
This is a busy inbound and outbound customer service position that requires dedication and commitment to assist clients in all ways possible. Here at iCare we go above and beyond to assist clients with all of their needs. If we don't provide the service they need we will find them a company who can!
In this role, you will:
- Setting up medical assistance transports
- Coordinate care companions for patient transports
- Obtain and/or verify patient’s demographic and insurance information at time of scheduling patient appointments
- Answer telephones in a professional upbeat manner.
- Coordinate appointments and transportation with patients, families and health facilities.
- Ensure geographic scheduling to reduce drive time and to enhance client satisfaction.
- Ensure customer confidentiality and a work environment to support privacy
- Utilize the computer software to efficiently book appointments, update customer information
- Provide superior customer service
- Identify problems and help improve processes
- Ensure company deadlines are met.
- Develop strong working relationships via the phone.
- Promote teamwork and call center success.

Ideal candidates will have a(n):
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- 1 year customer service experience
- 1 year of data entry experience
- Inbound and Outbound calls
- Type 60wpm
- Possess an attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and multi-task
- A passion for helping others
- Proficient computer skills
- Experienced in a call center
- Familiar with Medical Terminology and insurances
