Yellow House Dental & Implant Center is seeking a capable and computer-savvy Patient
Connection Coordinator who learns quickly and can think on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment. This is a full time position that requires you to be a people person with a positive attitude and have a desire to jump right in and be a part of the team. It is important to have a warm and cheerful demeanor, and to help put patients at ease while they are at our office.
Dental experience is not necessary BUT is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- A Patient coordinator will have a range of duties depending on the patient, but are primarily responsible for answering patients questions, managing patients accounts, scheduling patient visits including canceling and rescheduling when necessary.
- A candidate should have a strong analytical & problem solving ability including the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Patient scheduling for multiple doctors and hygienists, excellent customer service skills to provide on going support for patients & their families, greeting and welcoming patients to the practice. Caring for our patients as if they were a part of your family
- Gaining a knowledge & understanding of dental procedures using correct terminology to discuss with patients
- Answering multiple phone lines and distributing accurate messages. Candidate would need to have good telephone etiquette & marketing type skills to educate and motivate potential new and existing patients.
- Be able to confidently contact patients on scheduling delayed treatment. This will necessitate the ability to educate, motivate patients on the risks of delaying treatment.
- Understanding how dental insurance works and be able to verify dental benefits and be able to explain it to patients in person and over the phone.
- Operating office equipment such as fax machines, copiers and scanners and computer software
- Maintaining inter-office communication
- Be able to verify patient chart and treatment note accuracy through a reconciliation process.
- Maintaining all aspects of communication with patients. Candidate would need to have superb verbal & written communication skills with the ability to share updates with patients, other medical/dental offices and clinical staff
- Handling money and patient accounts, verifying methods of payments, collecting payments and having the skills to be able to professionally collect large amounts of money.
- Send prescriptions and medical clearance forms
Hours are M-Th 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm and occasional extended evenings and earlier mornings.
Paid time off available based on longevity with the practice
Holiday pay available for 4 Holidays a year
Salary will depend upon experience.
