Job Description:
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is an asset to Core Recovery’s administrative team and operations, ensuring that the patient experience runs as smoothly as possible from the first interaction on the phone through the time of that patient’s program here at Core. The PCC is the gatekeeper to most interactions between potential patients, actual patients, and Core Recovery. The PCC screens and routes both patients and visitor’s needs, as well as correspondence. The PCC also plans and tracks patients’ schedules.
Job Responsibilities:
● Answer patient, family member, pharmacy, new patient inquiry, and sales calls, etc.
● Respond to emails from staff, patients, and outside vendors or reps in a timely manner
● Watch calendar/schedule for no shows and cancellations - call patients to reschedule and process payment for all no shows and cancellations per practice policy
● Audit to ensure all patients are on the Clinician’s and PNP’s schedule at accurate intervals
● Help with supported meals and snacks
● Complete the check-in and check-out process for new patients
● Provide case management for patients
● Process patient payments for services - collect payments toward deductibles and co-insurance, Set up recurring billing payments, monitor calendar for when to bill cash pay patients, audit cash pay and deductible payments to ensure they have been processed, etc.
● Ensure the facility is clean, trash is empty, and all areas are stocked with all necessary supplies
● Keep track of and order office supplies, including binders, etc. for new patient binders
● Manage patient experience surveys
● Restock supplies around the office, including the front desk, offices, restroom, kitchen, coffee bar, and vending machine
Who You Are:
● Exceptional attendance – attendance is of critical importance in this role
● AA degree or certificate in healthcare or similar field
● 2+ years of administrative or healthcare office experience
● Willingness to cross-train on simple MA tasks to offer backup when needed
● Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems
● Exceptional time management skills
● Understanding of healthcare operations
● Positive, can-do attitude
