ABOUT THE ROLE

The Patient Services Coordinator (Intake and Scheduling) is responsible for facilitating the Intake and Scheduling of new and existing patient visits for the field staff each day and assisting with the coordination of patient care. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources and responding to customer requests and concerns as well as managing the insurance verification and authorization process.

This position is Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm.

*This position is an in-office call center Environment *

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Handle all Intake and Scheduling interactions via phone (inbound and outbound), email, voicemail, faxes, and chat in a timely and courteous manner and return messages from potential patients or referral sources, escalating communication to the Management Team when appropriate.
• Answer inquiries from patient, patient’s family, and facilities
• Assist new and existing patients by promptly managing the registration process and Scheduling first-time and follow-up appointments with providers.
• Ensure all admission paperwork is complete and accurate, including signatures, patient clinical history, demographics, and insurance information are entered into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with the company’s insurance professionals regarding the patient’s benefit coverage and financial responsibility.
• Collect payment information for copayments, private payments, patient balances, and records payments.
• Create patient charts and audit all paperwork for accuracy.
