LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for an established and growing healthcare client based in Schaumburg, IL!
Job Title:Patient Care Coordinator
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (M,W,TH,F) - Tuesdays 10-6:30pm AND occasionally later closing on Thursdays
Type: Contract to Hire
Location: On-site in Schaumburg
Responsibilities:
Greet individuals warmly as they enter the clinic.
Communicate expected wait times and possible delays.
Register patients, verifying demographic and insurance details.
Complete registration for walk-in patients.
Collect patient out-of-pocket responsibilities, such as deductibles and copays.
Schedule follow-up appointments during check-out for services like casting, measuring, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
Handle incoming calls and serve as a concierge for clinic services
Assist the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team in obtaining additional information from patients as needed.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic healthcare records for patients.
Minimum Qualifications:Required:
High school education or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license
Successful completion of a skills assessment as part of the selection process.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a medical office.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Working knowledge of state, federal, and regional collection and reimbursement laws, as well as HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations.
Understanding of terminology for private payer, state, and federal plans, including coding, billing, and reimbursement protocols.
Ability to type 40 words per minute with accuracy is preferred.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
