Patient Care Coordinator

Overview:
We are a locally owned, family Durable Medical Equipment practice serving the Richmond, Va area since 1992.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring excellent Patient Care in our medical office. This is a full-time position with PTO and competitive pay.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and demographics
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an office setting, preferably in a medical or DME office
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
