Patient Care Coordinator

At The Clinic, we seek a Full-time (Hybrid) Patient Care Coordinatorto become an integral part of our team! We are a busy, fast-growing behavioral health practice with a respected reputation in our communities, and we are looking for someone who can help us continue to grow at our San Francisco, CA, location.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm PST
Compensation: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
- Answer patient calls and provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their inquiries and concerns the first time they call
- Placing outbound calls to patients and insurance companies
- Review patient eligibility and benefits daily
- Update and process patient credit cards daily
- Maintain and update patient appointments on the EHR
- Assist our patients with questions about their services, such as out-of-network costs, insurance copays, co-insurance and deductibles requests for prior authorizations, eligibility verification, appointments, cancellations, refunds, no-shows, etc.
- Updates patient files with accurate notes and patient demographics
- Communicate to the Lead or Supervisor or Manager regarding progress, updates, problems, error trends, new findings, inaccurate or untimely claim submissions, and others promptly
- Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
- Assist in implementing, writing, and maintaining standard operating procedures
- Assist with or be responsible for other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Billing Manager
- All responsibilities need to be performed promptly and with accuracy, utilizing judgment and critical thinking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with various levels of difficulty in a fast-paced environment
