Job Description
Act as initial point of contact and representative of the practice to all visitors and phone inquiries, always giving the best impression (e.g., courteous, professional, competent, caring, respectful and helpful). Greet and check-in patients upon arrival. Gather requisite patient information and place in chart and enter into computer. Escort patients to exam rooms and maintain exam rooms between patients. Check patients out. Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, record complete messages and direct callers to the appropriate personnel. Ensure comfort of patients in waiting room and cleanliness throughout the office. Assist with surgical flow on surgical days to insure patient comfort and great patient experience.
Job Requirements
- College Degree or a minimum of two years experience as patient coordinator or customer service
- Minimum of one year experience in Patient Care required
- Contribute to the “team” effort – working in coordination with providers and the support team
- Possess the ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Present a positive, polite, and courteous attitude at all times
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- HIPAA familiarity – maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Maintain a professional appearance
