- Collaborate with audiologists, patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Create personal goals and monitor progress toward goals
- Input and maintain patient information in EMR system
- Maintains good and appropriate patient relationships
- Exercises confidentiality relating to all business and patient information
- Distributes electronic intake forms and assists patients in properly completing paper intake forms if necessary
- Checks in hearing devices and makes sure they are ready to go prior to patient appointments
- Maintains office schedule to maximize productivity and ensure efficiency and confirms next-day appointments
- Collects and records payments
- Works together with Audiologists to ensure high-quality patient care
- Ensures coffee/snack station is clean and stocked and lobby/workspace is clean and organized
- Performs basic tech duties with hearing aids: device cleanings, and troubleshooting issues
- Performs other miscellaneous office duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Care Coordinator or in a similar position is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with hearing loss is a plus
- Excellence in customer care. Must deal with patients in a respectful and caring manner
