Patient Care Coordinator – EAST VALLEY - Advance to Audiology Technician

Desert Hearing Center is seeking a motivated individual to join their Hearing Health Care Team!

This position is for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator who ultimately is willing to be trained as an Audiology Technician to coordinate and support hearing care professionals at our full service East Valley offices in Mesa and Sun Lakes. This isn’t a normal Front Office Job….Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

• Process patients from first encounter to discharge, in and out of the office, outbound calls to schedule and confirm appointments, and demonstrate great customer service.
  AND

Support licensed hearing care professionals with cleaning, processing repairs, maintenance of hearing instruments, Bluetooth pairing of hearing instruments to wireless devices, syncing repaired hearing instruments post repair, troubleshooting and performing routine hearing care services (excluding those functions requiring state or federal licensure such as hearing evaluations, selling hearing aids, fitting, ear impressions, and cerumen removal).

Order and maintain all hearing aid related materials and supplies and inventory management.

Collect insurance information for verification by third party, create invoices and sales receipts, collect payments, and data entry to office management system.

• Promote the practice daily to existing and prospective patients.

Here’s What We Require and are Looking For:

• Two year advanced degree required in any medical or health care related field.

· 2 years front office experience in a medical or health care related office setting required

· Good vision, hearing and dexterity to manipulate, maintain, and repair small objects (hearing aids).

· Experience with Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks preferred

· Proficient computer skills including ability to master the clinic’s practice management system and internet portals for insurance carriers preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills that include interaction with patients, colleagues, and vendors resulting in exceptional customer service.

· Must be able to travel between full service East Valley offices in Mesa and Sun Lakes.
