Pastry Cook/Baker - Chinatown

Take It Easy Roasters is elevated pastry shop that serves high end pastries, empanadas and rustic breads. It is a hidden gem located on 3540 Wynn Rd in the burgeoning Chinatown area. We are looking for an experienced a Pastry Cook / Baker to join our team. We seek motivated pastry cooks that are looking for growth opportunities in retail and wholesale production. The hourly pay is $12.00 - $16.00, depending on experience. Se habla Español.

Responsibilities

• Time management- must be able to meet the daily quotas for the variety of pastries and production within the allotted time frame
• Reading recipes accurately, and do high volume productions in focused time periods
• Occasionally deliver product in a company van to our locations
• Clean and organize the work spaces
• Understanding sanitation and health department regulation
• Maintaining a clean work environment which includes but is not limited to, washing dishes, sanitizing, porter duties, etc.
• A flexible and adaptable candidate is ideal with opening a new bakery

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 6 months of experience in a bakery setting (includes operating bakery equipment)
• Recipe knowledge; Understanding of volumetrics and how to use a scale
• Be able to multitask with efficiency and work in a small space while maintaining an organization and tidiness
• Must be able to work early AM hours with reliable transportation
• Health Card is required.
