Responsibilities:
- Report to Executive Chef
- Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment
- Assist with testing and developing seasonal dessert menus and baking program
- Assist with custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions
- Ensure food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking
- Operate in and maintain the pastry section of the kitchen and creating a successful working environment within the kitchen
- Manage that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
- Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Pastry Cook, baker or relevant role
- Has experience working in hotel environment
- A passion for hospitality, baking, and the guest experience
- Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
- Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
- Creative & Team oriented
- Fine Dining experience a plus
