Pastry Chef/Line Cook
Job Summary
Our busy and ever growing private country club is looking for a professional Pastry Chef to add to our culinary team to work in our newly renovated kitchen. A successful candidate would be responsible for preparing ingredients to be used in our a la carte dining restaurant as well as higher volume events such as banquets, golf outings and weddings, and working cleanly while maintaining a sanitary work area. We are seeking someone who has experience working in a busy food service environment and is committed to carrying on the standard that we set to satisfy our members and their guests.
Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis

Job Duties:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- design and curate an a la carte dessert menu
- prepare daily breads and pastries
- maintain garde manger station during service
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
