Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. As a Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain, demand planning, and inventory control of automotive parts. Your role will involve working closely with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of parts to support our automotive repair operations.
Duties:
- Manage the supply chain for automotive parts, including sourcing, procurement, and supplier management
- Conduct demand planning to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify parts requirements and maintain accurate inventory records
- Utilize AS400 or similar systems to track parts inventory and generate reports
- Coordinate with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to obtain necessary parts and ensure compliance with warranty requirements
- Perform regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Handle shipping and receiving of parts, including inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Operate forklift or other equipment as needed for moving and organizing parts within the warehouse
Experience:
- Previous experience in automotive repair or parts management is highly preferred
- Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management systems
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with OEM parts ordering processes and warranty requirements
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms from suppliers
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated.
