Job Description
Job Summary:
Parts Manager is responsible for parts ordering, intake and tracking, with a focus on ordering accuracy, timeliness and accountability.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Orders, receives and processes parts
- Serves as contact for all parts related matters
- Tracks parts status and communicates with vendors on order status
- Regularly updates Manager, Repair Planner and Body Technicians on parts status
- Responsible for inspecting received parts for defects, returns and reorders
- Oversees parts invoicing, posting parts invoices, credits ensuring accuracy when posting
- Comply with all safety standards, guidelines and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to cleaning the shop, picking up parts, delivering payment etc.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to read service, repair manuals, repair estimates
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid Driver's License
- Prior experience in the automotive parts field
- Knowledge of parts ordering software
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level
- Implement and maintain an efficient system for tracking and organizing parts inventory.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
- Monitor industry trends and stay updated on new products, technologies, and best practices in automotive parts management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive parts management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in inventory control techniques and systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on finding efficient solutions.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in recordkeeping and data entry.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
