The purpose of the Assistant Credit Manager is to provide administrative support for day-to-day operational tasks in the Credit department and ensure adherence to BEK credit guidelines
• Act as primary contact for new account setup, data entry, processing and follow-up on new account applications.
• Collaborate with appropriate personnel to track progress and ensure appropriate identification of outstanding accounts.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure customer accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain City Sale accounts.
• Perform monthly review of the tax audit report.
• Act as backup to the Credit Manager for driver approvals.
• Provide training, guidance and feedback to direct reports as needed.
• Maintain commitment to BEK company principles and standards.
• Exhibit professional behavior and management habits according to BEK guidelines.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications
• At least 2 to 5 years of credit experience required
• Food service industry experience preferred
• Proficient in use of technology, including Microsoft Office, internet and email applications.
• Knowledge of Ben E. Keith Credit policies and guidelines required
• Working knowledge of office machines and multi-line phone systems
• Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
• Valid driver’s license
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Enthusiastic self-starter • Ability to lead and train others
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Customer-focused
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
