Parts, Logistics & Operations Manager

Reporting to the Regional Logistics Director, the Parts, Logistics and Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the supply of parts originating from the Regional Distribution Center, through the markets pipeline, to the Retailer. This role forms an integral part of the Jaguar Land Rover RO Customer Service Organization.
The core function of this role is to provide the Parts Supply Chain with the required focus and support, ensuring customer orders are satisfied on time in full, leading efficiency for optimal local cost, in line with the JLR committed service level. .
What you will be doing:
  • Representing Jaguar Land Rover's Parts Supply Chain in North America to the Retailers, Retailer Committees, External Departments, Internal and External Suppliers and Jaguar Land Rover Central Management. Customs Operation and Relationship:
  • Management Resolution of any escalations, delays or constraints affecting the Supply into or out of the market.
  • Overseeing and control any change in local process which may affect the Parts Supply.
  • Identifying any opportunities to enhance the pipeline and manage through to implementation.
  • Maintaining a working relationship with the local Customs Authority, and act as the single contact point for any concerns or change management.
  • Managing Retailer Inventory ensuring the Retailers offer the highest percentage availability to their internal workshop and external customers:
  • Identifying and implement local stocking policy to drive standards in Retailer Inventory.
  • Reducing Vehicle Off Road (VOR) order percentage below the policy limit and maintain, identifying any enhancements or local initiatives to sustain a minimal VOR order rate.
  • Controlling the centrally set claims and returns procedure, and approve/handle any out of policy escalations or complaints.
  • Outbound Transport network management
  • Managing the Transportation Network within North America from the United Kingdom and the facing Parts Distribution Warehouse to the Retailer, including reverse logistics for Claims and Returns/repatriation to UK and Customs exit.
  • Monthly carrier meetings and KPI Management.
  • Identifying and implement service level enhancements and drive cost reduction.
  • Supporting the local transport team in planning, contracts & performance of carriers.
  • Managing any local logistics operations.
  • Perform other duties as required

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience;
  • 7+ years automotive logistics experience required
  • 10+ years Parts experience
  • 5+ years management experience preferred
  • Ability to influence effectively across the network, balancing a broad range of priorities, with minimal supervision
  • Confident and out-going with exceptional networking, inter-personal and influencing skills, possessing advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Transport and Customs knowledge with previous experience
  • Exceptional Customer Centric attributes, understanding the Customer needs, being transparent with all stakeholders, and the ability to identify and deliver what the Customer needs
  • Good understand of Inventory Management and warehouse operations
  • A strategic mind-set, with an ability to work with Retailer Principals and Parts Managers to develop, plan, and implement Ownership experience and Customer Service retention strategy where the Parts Department has an input
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management;
  • Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network;
  • Must have previous supervisory experience;
  • Must be able to travel approximately 10% of the time;

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)
