The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student for John Deere Waterloo Product Engineering Center located in Waterloo, IA, you will:
- Create and maintain engine bills of materials through the use of CAD (Creo Parametric) and parts management systems
- Create engine simplified representations as needed
- Utilize Excel, SAP, and PDMLink to gather and maintain reference material for use by other Engine Engineering Departments
- Process improvement support: Gather process data, create process map, and identify improvement opportunities
This position is not available to students on immigration visas
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university
- Graduation Date of 2026 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
- Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
- Must be able to complete work and assignments remotely
- Academic or professional experience with Creo or equivalent 3D design software
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent
- Detail oriented
