Position Title

Specific Position Requirements
Position is onsite

Experience:
1. B.S. Manufacturing Engineering required.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of engineering experience preferred.
3. Experience working with engines preferred.
4. Experience reading engineering part prints preferred.
5. Knowledge of machine shop processes preferred.
Skills:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
2. Ability to write detailed procedures.
3. Ability to finish what you begin. Persistence.
4. Ability to overcome set-backs.
5. MS Excel.
6. MS Powerpoint.
7. MS Word.
8. Pro-E or Creo preferred.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the development and execution of engine dyno test and post-test PV&V activities that include the entire aftertreatment system.
2. Ensure the development and execution of small-scale component level PV&V activities related to canning, DEF header, DEF tank, and hydrocarbon dosing systems. Continuous improvement work is in Product.
3. Ensure the development and execution of vehicle PV&V activities related to the entire aftertreatment system.

Major Purpose
Plans, coordinates, performs product design, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of moderate Product or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support personnel. Decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors.
Major Duties
" Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.
" Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
" Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
" Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
" Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
" Deliver small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
" Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; Product or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
" Work collaboratively with other professional teams and over organizational boundaries to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs.
" Create and maintain complex technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
