Job Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems as needed.
- Maintain building exteriors, including painting, power washing, and repairing siding.
- Groundskeeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
- Perform general carpentry work such as framing, drywall installation, and finishing.
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues
- Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records, and scheduling maintenance
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment
- Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues
- Organizational and time management skills
Job Outline:
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and repair our buildings, ensuring they remain in optimal condition. You will work closely with the property management to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently, contributing to a positive living and working environment for our tenants and clients.
