What you’ll do on a typical day:
The Part-time Library Assistant works as a member of the Library Services Team to provide quality services to faculty, staff, students and the community on the Davidson campus. Scheduled hours for this position vary but are primarily filled Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. The Part-time Library Assistant reports to the Director of Library Services and has the following responsibilities:
· Carries out the daily activities of the circulation desk.
· Assists patrons with their questions and with using computers.
· Assists with maintaining library materials.
· Assists with compiling library statistics.
· Must offer exceptional customer service.
· Provides support for other areas of Academic Support as needed.
· Maintains open, robust, and timely communication with colleagues and supervisor.
· Performs other duties as assigned that support the College mission and initiatives.
· Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the College.

Required Qualifications:
● Associates Degree (must be from a regionally accredited institution)
● Strong commitment to service
● Strong information technology skills
● Effective oral and written communication skills
● Ability to work effectively and collegially with others in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
