Job Title: Part-Time Human Resources Manager
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Part-Time Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing various HR functions and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. This part-time position requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of HR principles, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and interviewing.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Employee Relations:
- Address employee concerns and conflicts, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct investigations when necessary and recommend appropriate actions.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
- Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with department heads to create career development plans for employees.
Performance Management:
- Implement and oversee the performance appraisal process.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development.
- Assist in identifying high-potential employees for career advancement.
Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Ensure accurate and timely administration of benefits enrollment and changes.
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist in problem resolution.
HR Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Generate reports on key HR metrics, providing insights for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
Legal Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Work with legal counsel when necessary to address employment-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Human Resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of Indiana employment laws and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Michigan employment laws and regulations is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
