Job Title: Part-Time Human Resources Manager

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Part-Time Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing various HR functions and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. This part-time position requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of HR principles, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:

• Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and interviewing.
• Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Employee Relations:

• Address employee concerns and conflicts, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
• Conduct investigations when necessary and recommend appropriate actions.

Training and Development:

• Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
• Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with department heads to create career development plans for employees.

Performance Management:

• Implement and oversee the performance appraisal process.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development.
• Assist in identifying high-potential employees for career advancement.

Benefits Administration:

• Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
• Ensure accurate and timely administration of benefits enrollment and changes.
• Address employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist in problem resolution.

HR Data Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
• Generate reports on key HR metrics, providing insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

Legal Compliance:

• Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations.
• Update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Work with legal counsel when necessary to address employment-related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Human Resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of Indiana employment laws and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Michigan employment laws and regulations is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
