Part time Catering Cook

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Catering Cooks to work for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Mets for the 2024 season. As a Part-Time Catering Cook, you will be responsible for setting the line and conducting food service. This position requires dedication and knowledge of recipe conversions, preparing salads, dressing, and other cold and hot food items. This is a part-time, seasonal position with the season lasting from April to September 2024 and starts at $20 per hour plus potential performance bonuses,

As a Part-Time Catering Cook, you will:

● Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

● Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

● Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

● Clean up station and take care of leftover food

● Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

● Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

● Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

● Complete all other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements of a Part-Time Catering Cook:

● Must be at least 18 years old

● Training from a culinary school will be an asset

● Available to work holidays, evenings, and weekends

● Previous kitchen experience; proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

● understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

● Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen

● Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

● Familiar with industry’s best practices

● All kitchen employees will be responsible for sanitation guidelines
